Green GSM, the pioneering electric vehicle mobility platform, has officially launched its all-electric taxi service in Davao City. This landmark expansion represents the company’s first operational footprint outside Metro Manila and reinforces its commitment to building a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable transportation ecosystem across the Philippines.

The launch event was graced by Mr. Nonito Llanos, Regional Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for the Davao Region, alongside officials from local government agencies, department representatives, and key figures from Davao’s business community.

As a major economic and cultural hub in Mindanao, Davao City is recognized for its steadfast commitment to public safety, environmental stewardship, and community-centric governance. The city’s growing population, increasing commercial activity, and proactive initiatives toward cleaner air and sustainable urban development create an ideal environment for innovative mobility solutions.

Green GSM’s service in Davao is built on its 5 Green Promises: Good Experience, Good Driver, Good Condition Car, Good Fare, and Good Environment. The fleet will consist entirely of zero-emission VinFast electric vehicles, operated by professionally trained drivers. The service emphasizes reliability, transparent app-based pricing, and a tangible contribution to reduced noise and air pollution—aligning seamlessly with Davao’s vision for a livable and environmentally responsible city.

“Davao is a city that values order, safety, and sustainability,” said Mr. Dao Quy Phi, Managing Director of Green GSM Southeast Asia. “Our mission is to provide a dependable, emission-free transportation alternative that supports these priorities and serves the daily needs of Davaoeños. This expansion is a strategic milestone in our national roadmap for electric mobility, and we look forward to collaborating with the local community to foster sustainable urban growth.”

Commuters in Davao can now book Green GSM’s electric taxis through multiple channels: the Green GSM mobile app, a dedicated hotline, designated pick-up points, or via street hailing in major commercial and business districts. To celebrate the launch, new users who download and register on the app will receive 25 Green Points (equivalent to ₱25) to use on their first ride or save for future trips.

Since its Philippine debut in June 2025, Green GSM has been dedicated to delivering transparent, reliable, and eco-conscious mobility. The entry into Davao underscores the company’s commitment to partnering with cities that champion sustainable development and improved quality of life.
