Both phones include Circle to Search with Google, various AI agents, IP64 dust and water resistance, Samsung Knox Vault, and a promise of up to six OS upgrades and six years of security patches. Built to support the moments that matter most, such as watching videos, taking photos, and completing tasks, the latest Galaxy A series merges significant enhancements with the trusted Galaxy ecosystem.
Kristine Go, Head of Mobile Experience for Samsung Electronics Philippines, stated that with the release of these new models, they are making meaningful mobile experiences more accessible by prioritizing what users care about most, including smooth operation, durability, and essential AI capabilities. She noted that the Galaxy A18 concentrates on daily necessities with balanced features, while the Galaxy A08 provides dependable, long-lasting battery life to keep users connected, entertained, and productive all day.
The Galaxy A18 offers a premium experience with its 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen and Helio G99+ chipset, producing vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling for streaming, gaming, and social media. It is equipped with upgraded LPDDR5 memory for faster data transfer, enabling responsive multitasking and efficient processing for AI features. The inclusion of RAM Plus utilizes available storage as virtual memory, keeping background apps running smoothly and allowing quick switching between tasks. This can be turned on for a performance boost during gaming or turned off to save storage for media files. Additionally, the true versatile triple-camera system consists of a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, providing creative freedom to capture various angles. Whether shooting wide landscapes, group shots, or detailed close-ups, the device helps users frame every scene perfectly.
Equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery, the Galaxy A08 gives users the power to last all day, whether they are watching videos, scrolling through social media, or chatting with loved ones. This reliable foundation lets users focus on their favorite content rather than searching for a charger. The Galaxy A08 also utilizes the Helio G99+ processor and upgraded LPDDR5 memory to ensure smooth daily performance while managing power efficiently. RAM Plus offers extra flexibility when more memory is required, and it can be disabled to preserve storage space for photos and videos. For everyday photography, the Galaxy A08 comes with a 50MP autofocus main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera, covering the basics for easy photo capturing and sharing.
The Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08 bring more intuitive methods for searching, discovering, and completing tasks. The improved Circle to Search function lets users circle or tap on-screen content to find information without typing or switching apps. A new Find the Look feature helps users search for complete outfits or identify nearby music. Both devices also feature multiple AI agents that assist users in navigating between supported Galaxy native apps, Google apps, and select third-party services. Using voice commands or a long press, users can ask Gemini or Perplexity to open supported apps, streamlining task completion across various platforms.
Both smartphones in the Galaxy A series are built with enhanced durability, featuring IP64-rated protection against dust and water splashes. The Galaxy A18 utilizes a glass-fibre-reinforced polymer back cover that is both thinner and stronger, providing a slim profile without sacrificing toughness. Both devices receive up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, ensuring a secure and reliable mobile experience over time. With Samsung Knox, the Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08 include Knox Vault for hardware-level protection of sensitive data. This dedicated security environment safeguards private information, giving users peace of mind as they rely more on their smartphones for daily tasks.
The Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08 feature a clean and refined design, with color options to match individual preferences. The Galaxy A18 comes in Black, Silver, and Light Blue, while the Galaxy A08 is offered in Dark Blue, Silver, and Green.
